At the end of Blue Ash City Council meeting on 1/11/18 there was an interesting public comment by El Neyer.  They offered a deal sweetener for their Mixed Use / Apartments project. A verbal monetary offer of a million dollars was made with a cap on the number of apartments.  At the January 25th meeting city Council approved the final development in a 5-2 vote.  The monetary offer was essentially a legal promise to give the city a million dollars if a Corporate client was not found in two years.  Large corporate clients with hundredds of employees paying earnings taxes were part of the original proposal.  This important section of the developement plan was put on hold due to business climate concerns and very likely the extra cost due to a clause in the City of Cincinnati sales contract that inhibits coprorate clients.
